Wellness for Every Body. Every Community.

We believe healing is a right — not a privilege. That’s why we bring free, inclusive yoga and wellness to underserved communities and train diverse leaders to teach and thrive.

Our Mission

At Majestic Community Wellness (MCW), we’re transforming the wellness industry to be more inclusive, representative, and rooted in community.

We offer free, trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness programs in underserved neighborhoods—and train the next generation of BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and systemically excluded leaders to bring healing home

Partnering with Community Leaders

Our Impact at a Glance

Across Greater Boston, we’re removing barriers to wellness and fostering resilience — one breath, one block, one class at a time.

  • 350+ free yoga & mindfulness classes offered

  • 158 inclusive instructors trained through MCW

  • 15 trusted community partners engaged

“I never thought yoga was for someone like me. I didn’t see people who looked like me in yoga spaces — so I stayed away. MCW changed that. Now I feel seen, included, and empowered to lead others in their healing.”
Moira S., MCW Teacher Training Graduate

Lasting change begins with deep relationships. MCW partners with grassroots organizations, birth workers, educators, and community centers to co-create culturally relevant, healing-centered wellness offerings.

  • Free Community Classes
Yoga and mindfulness programs held at schools, rec centers, and neighborhood hubs.

  • Inclusive Yoga Teacher Training
Trauma-informed certification designed for Black, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and marginalized individuals.

  • Sustainable Employment for Local Instructors
We pay our trained teachers fair wages to lead classes in their own communities.

Bringing Yoga and Wellness to Underserved Communities

Teacher Training Impact

MCW’s Inclusive Yoga Teacher Training is more than a certification — it’s a launchpad for community healing and leadership.

We equip BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and other historically excluded individuals with the tools to become trauma-informed yoga instructors, meditation facilitators, and wellness advocates.

Our graduates return to their communities with knowledge, confidence, mentorship, and paid opportunities to lead.

Our Impact So Far:

  • 258 graduates certified since 2010

  • 95 paid teaching roles created through MCW

  • 100% mentorship continued after graduation

🌸Maternal & Women’s Health Ecosystem

Co-created by Katia Powell-Laurent of HUED Mamas Co and Lindsay Gibson of MCW, this initiative reclaims wellness as a birthright for Black and brown women—at every stage of life.

We offer free, trauma-informed, and culturally relevant wellness support, including:

  • Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga

  • Fertility & Chronic Illness Support

  • Menopause & Midlife Care

:

Aging Gracefully: Wellness for Older Adults

Inclusive, trauma-informed yoga designed to support mobility, vitality, and joy in older adults.

We offer free community classes—both locally and at The Foundry in Cambridge—using props, personalized guidance, and a deeply supportive environment. Each session encourages mindful movement, connection, and the celebration of aging with strength and grace.

🌸 Black & BIPOC Women’s Yoga

A sacred space for rest, healing, and radical joy.

Rooted in the lived experiences of Black women and open to all femmes and women of color, this program offers culturally affirming yoga and mindfulness led by instructors who reflect the communities we serve.

Each class centers resilience, sisterhood, and the right to take up space — unapologetically.

“Centering rest, resilience, and radical joy.”
