Meditations
Happy December!
Let’s elevate our hearts and raise our vibration together this month by beginning each morning with this nourishing Metta Meditation.
It's okay if your strength looks different from day to day. Allow yourself permission to pause, take some quiet time, and listen to what you need.
I used to believe that meditating once a day for 10 or 20 minutes was enough, and if I missed a day or two, it was no big deal. I told myself that running could be my meditation.
Instead of being controlled by our thoughts, meditation teaches us to observe them without attachment.
Grateful Friday
Gratitude has the power to guide us into the deepest parts of our hearts, lifting us to a higher frequency where love and light flow effortlessly.
Gratitude has a way of settling the soul, bringing contentment and grace into the present moment. When life feels heavy or my heart feels unsettled, gratitude becomes my anchor, drawing me back into a state of calm and quiet joy.
Meditation is the sweetest conversation you’ll ever have with your heart.
It’s a time where you can simply be—whether you show up as a holy mess, in your full glory, or somewhere in between—and feel unconditionally loved for every single part of you.
"Gratitude can elevate our experience, aligning with the calm, centered, and heart-opening journey."
Even in difficult times, a grateful heart can be a beacon of light. Each morning, I begin my day with a Gratitude Practice, gently asking myself, 'What am I grateful for today?'
Gratitude is a gift that’s available to us in every moment, no matter what life throws our way. It’s not just an emotional response—it’s a conscious choice we can make.
Every day is a gift, and in each moment, countless reasons for gratitude surround us. When we choose to live in a space of gratitude, the universe opens its arms to us.
You have the power, right now, to shape today into something wonderful simply by choosing to see it that way.
Our founder writes about gratitude every Friday. Her words will be posted here as a guide and a reminder for you to practice embodying your own forms of gratitude! This week's focus is on friendship:
Teachings
Every morning, I set a gentle date with myself on my mat. I rise with, or often before, the birds, beginning my day in a sacred ritual of stillness.
In a world filled with noise, finding moments of calm can feel like an impossible task. Yet, the pathway to peace is within us, ready to be accessed with a single breath.
Sometimes, we need a gentle reminder that we entered this world whole, pure, and perfect. Over time, life experiences shape us, and we may begin to lose sight of the truth of who we truly are.
When I am stressed, stepping into new territory, preparing to say something important, or feeling anxious, I take a moment to pause.
Rather than focusing on what our bodies look like, yoga invites us to experience our bodies in a completely different way: as vessels of wisdom, strength, and transformation.
Love is not something we must seek outside ourselves; it is the very essence of who we are.
On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we pause to honor the wisdom, resilience, and beauty of Native cultures and their sacred connection to the earth.
When was the last time you felt true rest, not just physically, but mentally? What would it take to reclaim that kind of rest in your life?
Being BIPOC, queer, financially unstable, etc. are all stressful forms of existence in our current society which lead to inflaming the nervous system.
